Padma bridge not part of China's BRI initiative
Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Friday clarified that the Padma Bridge, which is scheduled to open on June 25, is not a part of China's Belt and Road Initiative and also said that no foreign funds were taken to complete this multipurpose project.
Padma Bridge opens for vehicles in June
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the much anticipated Padma Multipurpose Bridge will be opened for vehicular movement next June.
Padma Bridge to open by June 30 next year
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said that the Padma Multipurpose Bridge will be opened to the public from June 30 next year.
