Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that there is no scope in the law to allow BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to go abroad for medical treatment as per the opinion of the Law Ministry.

BNP leader Khaleda Zia is allowed to bring foreign doctors as she is free to receive treatment anywhere in the country, said Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen.

Demanding the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and ensuring her medical treatment abroad, the BNP will issue a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioners across the country on November 24.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has tested positive for coronavirus, said a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) laboratory report.

The government on Monday approved the proposal of suspending BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s prison sentence for six more months.
