BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has tested positive for coronavirus, said a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) laboratory report.
As per the DGHS laboratory report, her sample was tested on April 10 and turned out positive.
In addition, several central leaders of the party have confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post.
However, Khaleda’s personal secretary and her family members have not confirmed the report yet.
According to a BNP source, she had been suffering from fever and cold for several days. As a result, a delegation of ICDDRB went to her residence in Gulshan and collected samples on April 10. And her sample turned out positive on Sunday.
