The registration deadline for the country’s first online sports competition ‘Bangabandhu Battle of Skills 2021’ organized by the North South University Athletics Club has been extended till 5:00 pm on October 21.
The North South University Athletics Club confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post on Tuesday evening. The previous deadline for the registration was at 11:59 pm on October 19.
Aiming to boost the sports skills of school, college, and university students across the country, such a sports competition has been organized, said a press release.
The competition which is organized on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is being presented by Bashundhara Kings.
Categories for participating in the competition, include cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, cycle stunts, Rubik’s cube, gymnastics, billiard/pool/carrom trick shots, and martial arts.
Individuals aged between 12 to 30 can participate in the competition. Contestants have to showcase their sports skills via video.
After analyzing all the videos by the judges’ panel, the winners will be announced and a prize-giving ceremony will be held at the North South University premises on October 23.
Notably, the registration for ‘Bangabandhu Battle of Skills 2021’started on October 3.
