Afghanistan fold for 215 despite Najibullah’s 67

A disciplined bowling display from Bangladeshi bowlers restricted Afghanistan to a modest total in the first of the three ODIs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Tigers bundled the visitors out for 215 in 49.1 overs. Najibullah Zadran is the highest run-getter for Afghanistan with 84-ball 67.

No Afghanistan batter can settle down in the pitch against the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Mustafizur Rahman picked up three wickets while Shakib Al Hasan, Shoriful Islam and Taskin Ahmed claimed two for each.

Earlier, Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi has won the toss and elected to bat.

For Tigers, middle-order batter Yasir Ali gets the first nod, making his ODI debut for Bangladesh.
