Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi has won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh in the first of three ODIs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Middle-order batter Yasir Ali gets the first nod, making his ODI debut for Bangladesh.
Earlier, Yasir has also made his debut in Tests against Pakistan at the same venue in November last year.
