Shakib, Mushfiq, Mustafiz named in ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year

Three Bangladesh cricketers, most from any country, have been named in ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year on Wednesday. The list includes Shakib al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman.
Two players from Ireland, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa have been featured in the team announced by ICC.
Babar Azam has been made the captain of the team while Ireland’s Paul Stirling and South Africa’s Janneman Malan have paired for the opening stand.
Pakistani Fakhar Zaman and South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, who made an unbeaten 129 against India in the last match, are in the middle of the squad.

Mushfiqur Rahim, who has been questioned about his ability as a wicket-keeper, named as a wicket-keeper in the squad.
Wanindu Hasaranga is the other all-rounder named in the squad with Shakib al Hasan.
Mustafizur Rahman, who has also named in the ICC T20 Team of the Year, leads the bowling unit with Sri Lanka’s Dushmantha Chameera and Ireland’s Simi Singh.
