Herath tests COVID-19 positive in Christchurch

Rangana Herath, spin bowling coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team, tested positive for coronavirus.
A source close to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post on Wednesday.
Herath is currently staying with the Bangladesh squad in New Zealand’s Christchurch for the two-match Test series against the Kiwis.
According to the source, he had a slight fever before testing positive for the virus. However, no other players or coaching staff showed any symptoms.
Meanwhile, all the players and the coaching staff tested negative for coronavirus in the first two tests in New Zealand after reaching there.
The first Test of the series will start on January 1 next year followed by the second Test on January 9.
