Bangladesh embarrass innings defeat against Pakistan

Bangladesh suffered an embarrassing defeat by an innings and 8 runs after the Tigers were all out for 205 runs in their second innings against Pakistan in day five of the second Test at She-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

The hosts need 213 more runs in the second innings to avoid the innings defeat as they were folded for only 87 runs in the first innings in reply of Pakistan’s 300-4 (d).

Sajid Khan, who took eight wickets in the first innings, grabbed 4-wicket in the second innings as well while Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali picked two for each and Babar Azam got his first wicket in Test.

Shakib Al Hasan with 63 is the top scorer for Bangladesh in the second innings after two 40+ knocks from Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim.

Bangladesh lost seven wickets in the first session of day five after they started the day with 76 for 7 and managed to score only 11 runs with the rest of the three wickets.

Pakistan won the first Test by eight wickets before sweeping the three-match T20 International series.
