How do you deal with overwhelming stress? It’s natural to feel a little confused when all your fears are taken over and you’re left alone to keep your business going.

However, the styles and attitudes adopted during this period can play an important role in how the situation unfolds. Islam is a religion that answers all questions once you know how to turn your thoughts to Almighty Allah calmly and patiently. Here are some effective ways to manage the stress of your life that will help you regain control:

Making a heartfelt Duas

Allah never denies the sincere plea given to Him by the suffering soul. And surely, salvation comes after difficulties when the Almighty is with you.

Avoid overexposure to social media

Be careful about the time to invest and who to follow on social media. You tend to fall into the wrong trap because you are instinctively forced to compare your life to the dazzling charm and false happiness of social media.

Spend time in remembrance of Allah

Allah said in the Holy Quran:

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ أَعْمَىٰ

Meaning: But those who turn away from my reminder will surely lead a miserable life. Then we will raise them up blind on the Day of Judgment. Surah Taha: 124

Think of your daily prayer

You need to keep yourself busy with the concern of daily prayer. If you are busy with Salah five times a day and other worships for the sake of Almighty Allah, you can deal with your stress or bad times superbly.

Recite Surah Duha

The importance of this Surah is that it was revealed when the Prophet Muhammad was terribly depressed.

Do Istighfar

When you experience unhappiness, whether you commit it intentionally or not, you never know if it is a punishment for your sins. So, whenever you feel the stress of taking over your life and everything you have built up, continue with Istighfar.
