Modi receives second dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on Thursday morning.

After receiving the vaccine, Modi urged everyone to be vaccinated.

In a tweet, he wrote, “Got my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS today. Vaccination is among the few ways we have, to defeat the virus. If you are eligible for the vaccine, get your shot soon.”

Narendra Modi took the first dose of the vaccine on March 1.

In the last few days, India witnessed its worst rise in coronavirus infections since the pandemic started last year.

The country reported over 1-lakh fresh COVID-19 cases two times in the last three days.
