A Bangladeshi woman named Samimatul Aras, 60, has died and several others were injured in a devastating fire at a guest house in Kolkata’s Mirza Ghalib Street early Saturday.
A total of 10-12 rooms were burnt in the fire which was originated from the reception on the second floor of the guest house.
Three units of fire service have brought the fire under control. The fire service personnel said that guests, including some Bangladeshis, were evacuated immediately.
However, a 60-year-old Bangladeshi woman was found dead after the fire was doused.
Another Bangladeshi named Moinul Haque, 35, was injured in the incident.
