Khulna reports record 32 daily deaths

Khulna division have recorded 32 more deaths and 903 infections in the last 24 hours on Wednesday.

This is the highest daily deaths reported in the district since the third wave of the pandemic started.

Divisional Health Director Dr. Rasheda Sultana confirmed the matter.

She said that 32 more daily fatalities were reported in eight districts of the division, raising the death toll to 896.

Among the new fatalities, eight are the residents of Khulna, seven from Jhenaidah, five from Chuadanga, four from Kushtia, three from Bagerhat, two from Meherpur, one each from Jessore and Narail.

A total of 903 more people have also tested positive for coronavirus in all 10 districts of the division during the 24 hour period, climbing the number of infected patients to 47,878.

So far 35,475 patients were cured and discharged from the hospital in the division.

However, 998 daily cases were reported in the Khulna division on the previous day.
