3 died while being shifted during a fire at DMCH

Three patients have died while shifting them after a fire broke out at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) allotted for COVID-19 patients on the third floor of the new building of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital on Wednesday morning.
Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital Director Brigadier General Md Nazmul Haque confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post.
He said, “All of them were undergoing treatment in the ICU. They were evacuated to another department of the hospital after the fire and they died there.”
The identities of the two deceased have been revealed so far. They are Abdullah Al Mahmud, 48, and Qazi Golam Mostafa, 75.
However, the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
