Police to provide ‘movement pass’ from Tuesday

Bangladesh Police decided to provide a ‘movement pass’ from Tuesday for emergency movement during the restrictions imposed by the government.

After getting the movement pass, those who need to go out for absolute necessity, including medicine, daily essential products, treatment, funeral, or burial will be able to move on the road without any hindrance.

However, everyone is not eligible to get the pass; it pass will be given only to those concerned with emergency services.

Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Dr. Benazir Ahmed will inaugurate ‘Movement Pass Apps’ on Tuesday.

According to the police headquarters, Police will start activities of providing the pass with the coordination of the ICT wing.

Earlier, the government imposed strict restrictions from April 14 to 21 to curb the COVID-19 infections. All government, semi-government, and private offices will be closed during the period of restrictions. In addition, no one will be allowed to go outside.

However, industries and factories will remain open despite all kinds of public transport will keep shut. All the organizations are instructed to provide private transport for the laborers.
