PM inaugurates ‘Akash Tori’ and ‘Shwetbalaka’

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday formally inaugurated two new Dash 8-400 aircrafts ‘Akash Tori’ and ‘Shwetbalaka’.
She inaugurated the second and third Dash 8-400 aircraft around 10:30 am through a videoconference at Ganabhaban on Sunday morning.
The inaugural program of ‘Akash Tori’ and ‘Shwetbalaka’ has been organized at the VIP Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The second and third Dash 8-400 aircraft were purchased on a government-to-government basis from Canada. The second aircraft arrived on February 24 while the third one arrived on March 5.
Earlier, the first Dash-8 aircraft arrived in the country on December 27, 2020.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina named all three aircraft.
