In-person classes of secondary schools and colleges across the country resumed on Tuesday partially after a month-long closure since January 21 following a sharp rise in COVID-19 transmission.
Students with two doses of COVID-19 vaccines are allowed in classrooms while the students who did not receive two doses of jabs will have to attend classes online or through television.
But the students and the teachers must have to follow the health guidelines strictly to stem the COVID-19 infection, according to the Education Ministry officials.
Besides, different universities across the country also resumed their in-person academic activities today while the physical class will start at primary schools from March 2.
Earlier, the government announced the closure of all the schools and colleges across the country from January 21 to February 6 amid a surge in COVID-19 cases due to the dominant Omicron variant.
The shutdown was later extended till February 20 considering the safety of the students.
