Education Minister calls for student-teacher discussion

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni urged the students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) to resolve the issue through discussion.

The minister also asked them to call off the hunger strike.

She made the remarks after meeting with the teachers of SUST at her residence on Saturday.

Dr. Dipu Moni said, “It is possible to solve all the problems through discussion. We are willing to sit down and discuss the issue.”

The students told that they don’t want to talk, it is not acceptable as the discussion can resolve all the problems, she added.

After the discussion with the SUST teachers, she said, “Our door is always open for discussion.”

However, the students earlier agreed to have a discussion with much enthusiasm but later they showed unwillingness.
