Fire at ‘Rahat tower’ brought under control

The fire that broke out on the 11th floor of Rahat Tower in the capital’s Banglamotor has been brought under control. However, fire service personnel are still working to control the smoke inside the building.

The fire was brought under control at around 12:30 pm on Thursday.

Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense (Operations and Maintenance) Lt. Colonel Zillur Rahman confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post.

He said the fire was on the floor of Jamuna TV and could not spread more. The fire service is working to find out the damage caused by the fire.

Earlier, on information, eleven units of the fire service are working to bring the fire under control this morning.

No casualties were reported so far.
