Bangladesh imposes ban on entry from Europe, 12 countries

Bangladesh government imposed a ban on passengers from European countries, except the UK, and 12 other countries to enter the country considering the coronavirus situation.  

The other countries include Argentina, Bahrain, Brazil, Chile, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Peru, Qatar, South Africa, Turkey, and Uruguay.

The information has been given in a circular issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh on Thursday.

The circular, signed by Chowdhury M Zia-ul-Kabir, a member of Civil Aviation Authority’s Flight Standards and Regulation Division, said that the ban would be effective from 12:01 am on April 3 to April 17.

The circular also mentioned that passengers from countries having no ban to enter Bangladesh must also have a COVID-19 Negative Certificate.

In addition, they shall have to complete a mandatory 4 days institutional quarantine. And if any symptoms of coronavirus have been noticed, then they have to stay in quarantine for 14 days at a place designated by the government at their own expense.
