3 killed as motorcycle hits tree in Barishal

Three people, including expatriates, were killed in a motorcycle accident in Muladi upazila of Barishal.

The incident took place in the area adjacent to Kazirhat Eidgah on the Muladi-Mirganj road at around 12 am on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Idris Hawlader, 60, son of Khalek Hawlader of Baria Kajirchar area, Harun Nali, 45, son of Kalai Nali of the same area and Rajib Nali, 23, son of Mona Saif Ali.

Muladi Police Station Officer-in-Charge SM Maksudur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said that they were going towards Kajirchar on a motorcycle from Mirganj. On the way, three persons died on the spot when the motorcycle hit a roadside tree near the Kazirhat area.

The bodies will be sent to the morgue for autopsy, he added.
