The High Court upheld the order of the Bangladesh Copyright Office granting copyright of 260 books of the spy thriller ‘Masud Rana Series’ and 50 books of detective ‘Kuasha’ series to their ghostwriter Sheikh Abdul Hakim.

The bench of Justice Iqbal Kabir Lytton and Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam delivered the verdict after holding hearing on the petition on Monday.

The court rejected the writ petition of Seba Prokashoni owner Kazi Anwar Hossain challenging the copyright of the office order.

On June 14, 2020, after a year-long legal battle, the copyright office granted the copyright of 260 books of ‘Masud Rana Series’ and 50 books of the ‘Kuasha’ series to their ghostwriter Sheikh Abdul Hakim.
