HC orders BTRC to remove audios, videos of state minister Murad

The High Court directed the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to take necessary steps to remove all audios and videos of State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murad Hassan from social media platforms within 24 hours.
The bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Md Mostafizur Rahman on Tuesday gave the order to the BTRC.
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman has appealed to the court to remove the audios and videos as such indecent can have adverse effects on society.
PM Sheikh Hasina on Monday evening asked him to resign from the cabinet for his derogatory remarks on women.
Notably, Murad Hassan has been in the limelight for the last couple of days over his derogatory and controversial remarks on different issues.
He made some offensive and derogatory comments on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his daughter Zaima Rahman during an interview on a Facebook live.
Later on Monday, another controversial phone conversation between him and actor Emon and actress Mahi leaked and went viral on social media.
