NDC students continue to protest demanding safe roads

Hundreds of students of Notre Dame College have blocked the Shapla Chattar and staged a demonstration in Dhaka’s Motijheel area on Thursday morning.

Students of the college gathered in front of their college gate around 11:15 am this morning. Later they took position in the Shapla Chattar area around 11:30 am.

Demanding road safety and exemplary punishment of the driver responsible for the death of a fellow student in an accident, they staged a demo at the Motijheel area.

Earlier on Wednesday, Nayeem Hasan, a second-year student of the Humanities department of Notre Dame College, was killed in a road accident in the capital’s Gulistan area.

Students are sitting on the street displaying placards with various demands including the exemplary punishment of the driver responsible for the accident.

Meanwhile, students of Kabi Nazrul Government College are taking position on Gulistan Road demanding justice in the incident.

Besides, the students of Viqarunnisa Noon College expressed solidarity with the movement.
