Narendra Modi wraps up Bangladesh trip

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed for New Delhi after wrapping up his two-day official visit to attend the celebrations of Bangladesh’s golden jubilee of independence and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A VVIP flight of Air India on boarding the Indian Prime Minister along with other entourage members took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 9:30 pm on Saturday.
Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen and other senior officials saw him off at the Airport.
Modi was the last among the five South Asian leaders to attend Bangladesh’s twin celebrations.
During his visit, Modi held bilateral talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and a meeting with President M Abdul Hamid.
The Indian PM also visited Bangabandhu’s mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj, Jessoreshwari Mandir in Satkhira, and a Matua temple in Orakandi.
