Three found dead in Tangail house

Police have recovered the bodies of three persons, including two women, from a house in Ghatail upazila of Tangail.

Their bodies were recovered from the Khamarpara area of Kashtala in Dighar union on Saturday morning.

Besides, an injured child was also rescued from the house. 

The deceased were identified as Jamela Begum, 65, Sumi Akhter, 26, wife of Jamela’s son Zain Uddin and Shahjalal, 27, son of Sohrab Ali of Satuitia area. Injured Shafi, 5, is the son of Sumi Akhtar.

Abul Kalam Azad Mamun, Chairman of Ghatail’s Dighor union parishad, said that the bodies of a woman, her daughter-in-law and a young man were recovered from the house at Khamarpara.

The injured child named Shafi was sent to the hospital. But his condition is also critical, he added.

The Officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station Azharul Islam Sarkar told Dhaka Post that he had heard about the deaths of the three. The members of the police went to the scene. The main facts will be known after investigation.
