‘Mishti Meye’ Kabori laid to eternal rest

The National award-winning eminent actress Sarah Begum Kabori has been laid to eternal rest at the Banani graveyard in the capital following her namaz-e-janaza after Johr prayer on Saturday.

She was given the state guard of honor in front of the graveyard before burial.

Her namaz-e-janaza and burial were held by following health guidelines amid the coronavirus situation in the country.

Earlier, noted actress of Bangla film Sarah Begum Kabori breathed her last at the capital’s Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital at 12:20 am on Saturday.

She had recently tested positive for COVID-19 and was on life support.

Kabori is survived by her five sons.

Kabori was born in 1950 in Chattogram. She made her film debut at the age of thirteen, in 1964 in ‘Sutorang’.

She received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film ‘Sareng Bou’.
