Ilias Kanchan has been elected as the President of the Film Artistes’ Association while Zayed Khan returned as General Secretary for the third term.
The artists, who battled for the posts from different panels, will now take over the association’s duties for the years 2022-2024.
Dipjol and Rubel have been elected the Vice Presidents jointly, whereas Symon Sadik will serve as Assistant General Secretary.
The Joint Secretary post will be held by actress Shahnoor, while Mamnun Emon is the new secretary for culture and sports.
Aruna Biswas, Sucharita, Anjana, Rozina, Ali Raj, Moushumi and Chunnu are other members of the executive panel from the Misha-Zayed Panel, and Ferdous, Keya, Jasmine and Amit Hasan from the Ilias-Nipun panel.
There were 428 voters in this year’s election, out of which 365 votes were cast.
The artists of the film had an eventful day with the latest edition of the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association elections.
