Popular Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan won the Best Actress (Critics) award in the Filmfare Awards (Bangla) 2020 for her roles in ‘Robibar’ and ‘Bijoya’.
The award has been officially presented to Jaya Ahsan through a gala program in Kolkata on Wednesday evening.
Earlier, Jaya had won the Best Actress award for her role in ‘Bishorjon’ in 2018.
Jaya is the first Bangladeshi actress to win Filmfare Awards.
Jaya starred ‘Robibar’ was directed by Indian Filmmaker Atanu Ghosh and ‘Bijoya’ movie has been by Kaushik Ganguly.
The other nominees in the category are Ishaa Saha (Sweater), Raima Sen (Tarikh), Subhashree Ganguly (Parinita), and Sohini Sarkar (Vinci Da).
A total of 21 categories have been awarded this time.
