The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) are conducting a raid at actress Pori Moni’s home in the Banani area of the capital on Wednesday.
Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Legal and Media Wing of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post.
The drive is being conducted following specific accusations, said RAB’s legal and media wing director.
At that moment, Pori Moni went on Facebook live, said that a group of unidentified people were knocking on the door of her flat. She did not open the door.
Earlier, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have taken a position in front of Pori Moni’s Banani residence this afternoon.
Pori Moni became a burning issue across the country in recent times after she alleged to sexually assaulted and threatened with murder at Dhaka Boat Club.
She later filed a case against businessman Nasiruddin Mahmud and five others with the Savar Police Station. Following this, police arrested Nasiruddin Mahmood and two others on June 14.
A Dhaka court on June 29 granted bail to Nasiruddin and Tuhin Siddiqui Omi.
