Musician Bappi Lahiri passes away

Legendary Indian music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri passed away at the age of 69.

He breathed his last in a Mumbai hospital. Lahiri died on Tuesday night at the CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, reports Indian news agency PTI.

“Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight,” reports PTI citing Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, director of the hospital.

The shocking news of Bappi Lahiri’s death comes just days after the deaths of legendary Sandhya Mukherjee and Lata Mangeshkar.
