Legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar has been hospitalized after she contracted COVID-19.
Indian news agency ANI reported the information citing her niece Rachna.
She is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
According to Rachna, she has mild symptoms of coronavirus, she has been shifted to the ICU after testing positive for the virus and her old age complications.
Earlier, she was admitted to the hospital in September 2019 with breathing problems.
The 92-year-old singer has recorded songs in more than 1,000 Hindi films in several languages.
She is the recipient of three National Film Awards, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Bharat Ratna, among other honors.
