Social Media giant Facebook said it may soon introduce a new version of their popular social media platform, Instagram specifically for children under the age of 13 as the regulations on Instagram don’t allow them to use the platform.

According to an AP report, the company has said that they will explore a parent-controlled experience on Instagram.

The move came just a day after Facebook announced a slew of new measures intended to keep teenagers safe on Instagram.

However, they didn’t mention any of their plans to build an Instagram for kids.

Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri notified, “Kids are increasingly asking their parents if they can join apps that help them keep up with their friends. A version of Instagram where parents have control like we did w/Messenger Kids, is something we’re exploring. We’ll share more down the road.”

Earlier, Facebook had revealed a new version of Messenger Kids in 2017.
