Rain is an amazing blessing that Allah bestowed on the earth. It is mentioned in many verses of the Quran, including the process of its formation and how it facilitated life on earth. This process is given and clearly described in Surah Ar-Rum and Surah An-Nur.

As Muslims, we do our best to remember Allah at every phase of our lives, praising Him as we carry out our duties in the world.

However, it sometimes fails us to understand that we too can reap additional benefits and blessings simply by asking for them in simple everyday circumstances. For example, here are three duas we can add to our routine and read when it rains:

Dua 1

Meaning: Allah is the one who sends the wind, stirs the clouds and scatters them in the sky according to His will, and He creates their fragments so that you can see the rainfall from them. And when He let it fall on whomever He wanted among His servants, they immediately rejoiced. Surah Ar-Rum, 30:48

Dua 2

Meaning: Don’t you see that Allah drives away the clouds? Then He gathered them together, and then He created a great mass of them, and you see the rain coming from within. And He sends from Heaven Mountains (clouds), in which hail, and He attacks those He wants and turns away from those He wants. His lightning almost lost sight. Surah An-Nur, 24:43
