5 of a family killed in Teknaf landslide

Five members of a family have died in a landslide at the Vilejar Para area of the Hneela union of Teknaf upazila on early Wednesday.

The incident took place just hours after the Rohingya camp landslide incident.

The deceased were identified as Abdur Rahim, Shukkur, Jubayer, Kohinur, and Jainba. All of them are the sons and daughters of Syed Alam, resident of Pahari Gram of the area.

Rashed Mahmud, union parishad chairman of the Hneela union, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post and said that the incident of landslide took place early in the morning.

Bodies of five sons and daughters of Syed Alam have been rescued after the incident, he added.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, five Rohingya people were killed in a landslide in the Ukhia camp.
