Dr. Dipu Moni

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations will be held by the second week of November and the Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) by the first week of December on a limited syllabus if the coronavirus situation improves across the country.

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni came up with the development at a virtual media briefing on Thursday morning.

SSC and HSC examinations will be taken in a short syllabus.

However, if the situation does not improve enough to hold the examinations on the scheduled time, results will be published through subject mapping of previous exams, added Dr. Dipu Moni.

The minister said that a total of 24 assignments will be given to SSC examinees in 12 weeks while 30 assignments will be given to HSC candidates from this month.

These assignments will be given to the students to prepare them for the examination.

Notably, all the educational institutions across the country have been remained closed since March 17 last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The government later extended the closure of educational institutions several times.
