SUST VC apologizes to JU students, teachers

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed apologized to Jahangirnagar University students and teachers for his remarks on female students of the university.

A press release from Jahangirnagar University public relations office made the disclosure on Monday afternoon.

According to the press release, Farid Uddin apologized to Professor Dr. Farzana Islam, Vice-Chancellor of JU, over the phone.

Farid Uddin Ahmed said that his remark has been edited and disseminated through social media. As a result of it, the students and teachers of JU became furious against him.

He has realized the matter and asked for forgiveness from JU students and faculty members.

Farid Uddin Ahmed recently made derogatory comments on JU female students saying, “No one wants to marry JU girls easily.”
