Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has been discharged from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) at around 9:45 am on Sunday.

Sheikh Walid Foyez, Public Relations Officer of the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post.

Professor Dr Atikur Rahman, a member of the 10-member medical board formed for the minister’s treatment, said, “Obaidul Quader has fully recovered. He is now at home.”

The minister has been undergoing treatment at the hospital since December 14 after he fell sick.

He was admitted to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University with chest pain, high blood sugar and heart issues.
