COVID-19 booster dose campaign to begin tomorrow

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said that the booster dose campaign against coronavirus will begin on trial at the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in the capital’s Mohakhali tomorrow.

He made the remarks at a program as the chief guest at the Manikganj Subhro Centre in Sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon.

As per the minister, Pfizer vaccines will be used at this phase as it has been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Zahid Maleque said, “The senior citizens and frontliners will be vaccinated on a priority basis. However, the number of booster dose recipients will increase gradually.”

The program was organized to distribute stipends, winter clothes among the students and poor people.
