Dhaka, Delhi sign 5 MoUs on trade, disaster, ICT
Bangladesh and India have signed five Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) to enhance cooperation trade, disaster, ICT, and sports while Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi witnessed exchanges of the documents following their talks at the Prime Minister Office (PMO).
“The two premiers witnessed the exchange of the MoUs among officials concerned of the two countries who inked the deals,” Bangladesh premier’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told to the reporters.

He said the MoUs were on Disaster Management, Resilience and Mitigation; cooperation between Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) and National Cadet Corps of India (INCC); establishment of a Framework of Cooperation in the Area of Trade Remedial Measures; Supply of ICT equipment, courseware and reference books and training for Bangladesh-Bharot Digital Service & Employment and Training (BDSET) Center; Establishment of Sports facilities at Rajshahi College field and surrounding areas.
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami signed all the MoUs on his country’s behalf.
Disaster Management and Relief secretary Md Mohsin, BNCC director general Brigadier General Nahidul Islam Khan, commerce secretary Dr. Md Jafar Uddin, Information and Communication Technology Division’s senior secretary, NM Zeaul Alam and Secondary and Higher Education Division’s secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain signed the MoUs respectively on Bangladesh’s behalf.
