2 lakh Sinopharm vaccines reach Dhaka

A consignment of another two lakh doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine reached Dhaka from China on Tuesday.

Maidul Islam Prodhan, senior information officer of the Health and Family Welfare Ministry, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post.

He said that a flight carrying two lakh doses of Sinopharm vaccine landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:10 pm on Tuesday.

China Red Crescent Society gifted these vaccine doses to the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.

Bangladesh Red Crescent Society on Monday night said that they will hand over these vaccine doses to the Bangladesh government.
