Bangladesh to get 7.1m Pfizer, 1.8m Moderna jabs

Bangladesh will get 7.1 million doses of Pfizer and 1.8 million of Moderna vaccines as part of US donation and regular supply under the Covax facility.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam made the remarks on Wednesday.

He said, “Bangladesh will receive 7.1 million Pfizer doses as US donation and 1.8 million Moderna doses under regular Covax allocation from Covax Facility.”

These vaccine doses will be shipped in the last quarter of this year, he added.

Shahriar said they are hopeful of getting more vaccine allocations during the period, and thanked the USA and Covax for the support.
