The government right now have no plan to raise the age limit for entering government services.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain made the remarks while responding to a question from BNP lawmaker Mosharraf Hossain at the parliament on Tuesday.

Farhad Hossain said, “Currently, there is no more session jam at the educational institutions, including universities.”

Earlier, students had to spend more years in educational institutions due to session jam. But the scenario is totally different now.

The minister added that students sit for SSC at the age of 16 and HSC at 18. They completed their graduate program at the age of 23-24. So, jobseekers now get enough time to prepare themselves for the government service even after completing their studies.

The age limit for entering government service is 30 years and we are not considering raising the age limit now, he concluded.
