How to deal with stress in post-COVID world
Several studies have revealed that the psychological condition of people across the world is unstable due to numerous lockdowns, restrictions and social isolation forced by the coronavirus pandemic. The patients with stress-related disorders have increased in huge numbers due to the leisure stay at home in times of pandemic.
Interestingly, it is not for the fear of the spread of the virus but for the new normal lifestyle of the people that have unknowingly accepted to break the chain of transmission of the virus.

Many people have lost their jobs, students are not able to take part in the in-person classes, all the activities have to be done online due to the virus. All these things make people mentally disordered. Besides, the anxiety and fear of catching the virus are another important reason here.
In such a situation, it is important to understand the coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and to deal with it effectively if it is not possible to get rid of it.
Dealing with feelings
It is important to be honest with your feelings. You have to record your deepest thoughts and feelings. Try to remain calm
It is important to keep yourself calm to get rid of anxiety and mental disorders following the pandemic. To keep yourself calm, take frequent deep breaths in and out. Inhale slowly through your nose and then gradually exhale through your mouth. Physical activity would be very beneficial in such a situation. Activities like jogging, skipping, dancing and sport are the form of physical activities to keep one calm.
Stay connected
Due to the lockdowns and social isolation, many feel separated from their friends and family. But a person can still be part of an online community and communicate with friends and people through video calls or participate in online forums about an area of interest. Though there is a matter of online fatigue, we have to go with the flow. We have to find out or pick the best one from the possible things in times of pandemic.
