5.7-magnitude earthquake jolts Afghanistan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted 45 km SW of Ashkasham, Afghanistan on Saturday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 209.05 km, was initially determined to be at 36.445 degrees north latitude and 71.1166 degrees east longitude.

No casualties or injuries were reported so far due to the earthquake.
