Miss World 2021 temporarily postponed

The Miss World, one of the prestigious beauty pageants, has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.

The finale which was scheduled to take place in Puerto Rico was called off on Thursday after several contestants tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the social media handle of Miss World, the pageant has temporarily been postponed because of health and security concern.

“Miss World 2021 temporarily postpones global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to health and safety concern of contestants, staff, crew and the general public,” reads a statement of the Miss World organization.

The finale will be rescheduled at Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days, it added.
